๐ฏGame EXP and Engine Upgrades
Note: the EXP and engine upgrade system is subject to change.
Every paid game rewards players with game EXP, regardless of their standings. EXP is used to level up Top Speed and Acceleration, thereby upgrading the engine for better performance. Once EXP is used to level up the engine's attributes, it will be burned and rendered unusable. EXP is an in-game asset with no monetary value - it is not an NFT or cryptocurrency.
Game EXP
At the end of the game, when the standings are determined, game EXP will be credited to the user's account based on their rank. EXP rewards are different based on the number of players in a race. The base EXP is 4 (last place for every race receives 4 EXP), and each rank above that receives +2 EXP. The table below shows the EXP distribution for each type of race.
Engine Upgrades
Top Speed and Acceleration are the two NFT attributes that can be upgraded. To upgrade from one level to another, you will need to burn EXP. As you reach higher levels of Top Speed and Acceleration, it becomes increasingly more difficult (it requires approximately 1.5 times more EXP than the previous level).
How to Perform an Engine Upgrade
Engine upgrades will be triggered in-game, but they will be executed through your wallet. Because the engine itself is an NFT, you will be altering the metadata of your engine, and the transaction to modify the NFT will complete a transaction that changes the data for your Top Speed and Acceleration.
The flow is: Play in a paid race --> Earn EXP --> Initiate upgrade in game --> Complete wallet transaction --> See new engine metadata in NFT and in game
To max out one attribute, you will need 6,000 total game EXP, and to max out both attributes, you will need to earn and spend a total of 12,000 EXP.
